Life through the lens...

By ValC

After a day of sunshine and heavy showers, this evening the sun is shining, with that lovely golden light, before sunset.

We had a lovely evening last night.
Monthly wine tasting at a new venue in Leeds called The Hungry Bear.
A tiny upstairs room, but we all managed to squash in, and it was very cosy!

The tasting was of wines made by Miguel Torres.
From Chile, California, and Spain.
One of the best tastings we have had for a long time.
Two excellent wines at £6.99 a bottle were:
A white, Miguel Torres, Santa Digna, Gewurztraminer 2012 - Chile
A red, Miguel Torres, Santa Digna, Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 = Chile
I don't think you will find them in supermarkets, only in independent wine merchants. One is Roberts & Speights in Beverley, Yorkshire.

The food was really good too.
Belly pork, cooked to perfection. Then a crème brulee.
A very enjoyable evening.
Had a lie in this morning!!
