Wool everywhere.
Hamish: the weather has been great for a couple of days now. Most of last year's have gone off to the mill for spinning but S has kept some of her favourite ones to be washed, carded and hand-spun. The conservatory us a good place to dry the fleeces.
We had friends to stay at the weekend but one of them arrived with food poisoning and in the end they had to go home. Still, the house is VERY clean now.
Today I have been supervising S as she takes down the sheep pens. It was thundering as we finished and we just made it back to the car before the rain started.
Now we need to think about shearing, as the sheep's fleeces are starting to hang off. I shall be keeping out of the way of the shears: my coat is short enough already.
