What struck my fancy

A church interior

This is at St Mary's Church, Snettisham which is a thriving large Norfolk village. I have taken photos of the churchyard before and always struggled with getting anything passable with the interior of this or for that matter other churches too.

The lighting outside was too harsh for anything decent. Inside we have lovely stained glass casting coloured light on the stonework, warm tones on the pews, and a pathway through to a room beyond (with adjacent loo and fire exit). I have removed the photographically intrusive fire exit and toilet signage with borrowed woodwork from the nearby panelling!

The church is a friendly place. There's even a table, cups, coffee, milk and a kettle to make yourself refreshment.

The dynamic range is large and this image is from three exposures which I have blended using masks rather than purpose-made software to produce a more realistic result - to my eye. I hope you like it.

Be my guest and see it LARGE
