The puppy's lunch!

Our rescued baby sparrow was in it's cage at the open door of the conservatory - cheeping away as it constantly does, when this sparrow hawk flew in through the open door, obviously after it's lunch! I'm not sure who was more surprised - it, me, the baby sparrow, the friend, who was sitting with me having coffee, or the visiting puppy! It was chaos for a few minutes.The hawk wanted the baby sparrow and the puppy wanted the hawk. Oh and the tortoise , who was right beside the sparrows cage retreated into it's shell. I'm so glad I had my camera at hand! PS no harm came to any of us you'll be pleased to know!
