His Royal Poochness
So, today hailed the arrival of Sir Cousteau of the Barkings. Much excitement and preparation ensued.
Then we went to the airport and waited a whole lot for people to do not much very slowly.
Poor Cousteau damaged his claw during transit and we were very anxious to get to him. But wait we did.
Eventually our wee boy emerged, encased in a wooden crate. He had sustained a paw injury, trying to escape his prison, but was unharmed apart from that.
His excitement at seeing us was only surpassed by ours at seeing him. What a happy reunion.
Mr Barking headed off to work and Cousteau and I headed home. This is his arrival at Barking Manor as he checked out his minions (i.e. the cattle in the front paddock). Later he surveyed his chickens, which he dismissed without so much as a by your leave. They were rather more interested in him, of course.
A sleep at his Aussie Grandparents' house, whilst their dog, Maggie, turned herself inside out trying to get him to pay her some attention.
Then home for dinner and more sleeping and a chat with JL.
All is peaceful in the Barking household as His Royal Poochness sleeps off what has been quite an eventful day for a little fella.
Thank you so much JL for looking after our boy so well. Thank you for being the wonderful friend you are. Talk soon. xxxx
Night all.
