That's a pity...
Watched the diminutive dunnock flit in and out of the bush over by the fence for a couple of weeks and knew she was nesting nearby. Yesterday she was dead on the lawn, killed by the magpies I suspect. Had a poke around the hedge this morning and found a little nest with one cracked, stone cold egg inside. No doubt the maggies will be back for this one too. I know it's nature but I do hate those verminous birds.
