Snails don't like these

These delicate little flowers appear every year in the garden. I assume that the slugs and snails don't find them tasty. Unlike the clematis which are obviously very yummy. Most of my flowers have little holes in them.

I've worked from home today as I am not feeling tickety boo.

As I worked I could hear Murphy barking in the garden. He was chasing a squirrel. I suspect that he caught him and has injured him as he didn't rush to leave the garden. I know that people have mixed feelings about them but I like to see them in the garden.

PS Five minutes ago I could have told you what this flower is and now I've forgotten. Can someone please put me out of my misery?
