It is not a dog...
- but you probably realised that already ;-)
It is a stork from a stork preservation programme, that Corinne and her husband Steve took us to see this morning. I loved seeing these amazing big birds. Some were in huge aviaries, but lots were free and had big nests placed around on very high poles and trees.
Apparently the stork was in danger of extermination in the area, but the work that has been done to save them has been successful and a stork's nest is no longer a rare sight in and around Seltz.
Corinne and Steve took us sightseeing in the morning. We had a lovely lunch in a nice restaurant in Seltz and then it was time to go to Frankfurt and the airport, where we said goodbye at about 3.30 pm.
Departure a little later than expected, but in Copenhagen at around 6 pm. I said goodbye to Helle and went to collect dogs. First Beat, who has been with my dad and then Hero and Biscuit, who has been with Erik and Ingelise.
I arrived home at 10 pm - feeling exhausted, but it has been a very good long weekend in France and it is so good to see the boys again.
