Wunder & Lightning
Up early today, despite a night spent coughing. I had to take my Grandson to nursery for 8.30 and once he was safely delivered, I pottered around the house, cleared the kitchen and did two loads of washing. I was then exhausted....this cold is taking it's toll.
The storms were brewing all afternoon and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to teach my two year old Grandson all about thunder and lightning, so that he wouldn't be afraid. He stood on the stool and watched with big eyes and total excitement. He then got down from the stool, walked across the room to Grampie and proceeded to tell him all about the 'Crashing Wunder!'
I adore the linguistic slip ups that toddlers make. I read somewhere, that it's nice to make a note of these little sayings on slips of paper and to pop them in a jar. That way, when you feel nostalgic, you can read them and relive those little moments. Otherwise, they'll probably be lost forever.
