Stormy Skies

Seem to have spent most of the day driving in and out of rain showers.

On the way home I passed this derelict windmill near Appleton Roebuck south of York. The clouds behind were really dark and so I stopped to try to capture the scene.

In the end I had to bracket shots - unfortunately no tripod so it was handheld, hence not brilliantly sharp.

Three shots loaded in Photomatix Pro, processed and then tweaked a bit in Lightroom.

We got absolutely soaked on our dog walk tonight - and the hailstones were the size of peas - my head felt as though it had been sandblasted
