Block party

Sunday had the best weather New York has given us so far. Blue skies and beautiful, boiling sunshine.

Unfortunately, as I've found with most Sundays after a Saturday night out, we were a little slow in motivating ourselves to leave the flats.

Once we were out we headed into the city to this block party right outside my office building. It was part of the Red Bull Music Academy series of events and was in aid of their petition to rename the street Larry Levan Way in memory of the DJ's residence at Paradise Garage on King Street. Anyway, it was brilliant. It was heaving and spilled way over the designated area.

After that we sat in a bar in the sun and stayed there well after the sun set. Another perfect Sunday.
