For the record, I did yet another volunteer event photographer job on a street festival. This time I was much more on my comfort zone: outside and in the daylight, most of the time convenient overcast, many candid shots of kids doing their stuff. I even had an assisting person doing the consent forms for me as we went on. I thought maybe that artificial lighting and group photos thing just isn't my stuff and I should stick to what I'm better at. But then I realized I've done natural light and candid for four years almost daily and artificial lighting and formal posing or group photos - hardly at all. I just need to give me time to learn it.
