Lake Secord, Ontario

Lake Secord is a tiny lake (more like an over-sized pond) near Goodwood, Ontario. It's the site of the former Secord home, veterinary clinic, and pet cemetery. Linda and I have a couple of cats buried there and we visit them now and then and walk by the lake to see how things are. The water is way up this year. Crayfish were seen as well as some wee fish. A pair each of swans and Canada geese were paddling about. No turtles spotted but many toads and frogs - all busy singing and mating. Sometimes, we'll picnic by the lakeside. There are trails near, too. Quiet and serene.
