Not bluebells

You could say the day started badly by us leaving the house far far later than planned.
- You could say we did well to leave the house at all considering I didn't feel well and had to wait for painkillers to work before I could do anything.

You could say going somewhere you've never gone before without checking where you're going and wasting ages driving around was a bloody almighty cock-up
- You could say at least we found it eventually and no one wet themselves or starved and we will know how to get there next time.

You could say the sun went in at exactly the wrong time and it was all a waste of time.
- You could say it was fun going somewhere new and stomping through the mud and seeing our 9-year-old away from Minecraft for a while.

You could say the bluebells were a bit thin on the ground and the photos were shit
- You could say that.

After our interesting trip we had a late lunch and got Tess ready for a party. Then Richard and I took the dog to the beach.
(I wonder how many times I've written 'Then Richard and I took the dog to the beach' in the last 995 entries?)

This evening our friend came over for some tea. He's putting a sculpture he's creating in place at Broomhill Sculpture Gardens in Barnstaple over the next couple of days. It was strangely quiet to see him without the rest of the family.
