Beat the crapauds 4-1- very convincingly on their home ground. More Guernsey supporters at the game then Jersey- typical! And we still get carrots and abuse thrown at us- police seem to have it under better control each time we go back though. It was eggs and coins in previous years in addition to the carrots and verbal.

Superb couple of goals from superstar Ross Allen, inc pen, that he told me he was kept awake thinking about last night, where he would put the pen: bottom right corner- did the job nicely. An incredible out of the blue goal by defender Jacques Isabelle and the fourth by Matt Loaring.

This is the best win we've had in a Muratti in its decades of history & Steve Sharman was extremely pleased in his first year of managing the team. Talking to him, he was thrilled that they had entertained the supporters. The fans were definitely pleased.

We tried celebrating on the boat back but only a few hadn't turned green from the rough sea. It was touch & go at times but we survived the extended long journey across the waters, against the swell!
