High Chateau

This afternoon we went high into the hills behind the village and then we went higher still. At 1097 metres, Bargème is the highest village in the region of Var and one of France's Plus Belle Villages. The ruined chateau dominates the village but is itself dominated by the causse behind it.

It's been very windy day today and reading your blips, it would seem that this is a common situation. It looks as if France is going to be covered by cloud and rain tomorrow but it looks as if it will stay fine here in Provence.

We are now waiting for Marian's brother George and his wife, Anne, to join us so it will be a nice family gathering once they arrive.

Thank you for all you lovely comments, stars and a fave on my buttercup meadow yesterday, it's much appreciated. I'm catching up a bit with your blips but I know you won't be expecting normal service during the holiday.
