Sjmmer taste (despite the rain)

A bit of a cheat, as this salad wasn't made today, but we use this bowl most days in the summer - I think I took this yesterday.
M. is an amazing cook and has been making the most delicious salads since we got some gas for our crazy north American style barbeque last week (our time in Canada taught us that it is ok to BBQ even if it is raining or below freezing - simply adjust your attire!). Tonight I think it's sweet potato, mushroom and spinach salad.

In other news: I went to see two friends exhibit at a craft show and bought I. 10 Bic biros for his GCSEs. G. went to a friend's house to work on a scrapbook. M. worked, I. revised and ironing got done. An unremarkable but pleasant weekend, featuring a sense of great achievement that the fridge is full and the laundry basket empty.
