Emergency today

Today's blip is an emergency one as I have not had time to get out anywhere to find a good subject. This morning it was raining and this afternoon I spent helping J fix a couple of vents - one for the floor under her study and the other to the front of the woodburner. The former was straightforward but the latter proved more of a challenge as the hole into which it was to be set needed adjustment!
This involved carefully cutting/grinding away small areas of natural slate with a Dremel with diamond cutting wheel until it would work properly. Great - fix in place and no it won't work. Take apart again and more trimming and success.
Then had to quickly cut the weeds to make it look presentable.
The top shows the overhanging plants from the adjoining garden which I cut back on a regular basis and throw back. The garden is left to go wild as the house is tenanted and the tenant does not do anything at all so we all suffer.
The broken down shed of which J has a part is so dilapidated none of us can understand how it remains standing. Parts of it are now seriously dangerous but there is one who still uses it as an 'emergency lemonade store' and is adamant that it is all fine or at least her part is.
Hopefully it will collapse soon in a blaze of exploding lemonade........
