VIC 32
We spent most of the day on the Isle of Bute. We drove round to Colintraive in the morning and took the ferry across the very short straight between Colintraive and Rhubodach then continued on the road to Rothesay and on to Mount Stuart.
At Mount Stuart we had a walk round the gardens. Unlike last year I had remembered Maeve the Deerhound's lead. The bluebells were looking wonderful beneath the canopy of trees throughout the grounds.
We decided to drive round the island and stop for a late lunch at Ettrick Bay and then have a wander along the beach.
Later, on the road back to the ferry for the return crossing, we had the great good fortune to catch sight of VIC 32 sailing along. We often see VIC 32 in the basin beside the sea lock on the Crinan canal later in the year so we had to stop and take a photo or two.
