Kelis, Brighton Dome

I had the best day. Sunny, windy, laden with burritos. When confronted with countless options to see bands I'd never heard of, I just winged it and everything I saw was really good. Camp German house music, Finnish power pop, Icelandic jazz blues (Lay Low - highly recommended) and pop-up acoustic performances in the Jubilee Library and Brighton Museum. Mr Crackpot very kindly got me access all area passes for Kelis' and Jon Hopkins' shows in the evening. I got to watch the latter do his soundcheck. Damn, I'm lucky sometimes. Kelis was great, she had more hits than I remember and her old school soul revue band were great.

This is the first time I managed to connect my camera to wifi and transfer photos to my iPhone. Kind of a novelty.
