Colour.. Mulberry

For colour in the garden bougainvilleas provide some of the best choices. Although it is indigenous to tropical South America it can adapt to a wide range of climatic conditions, but in cool temperate regions it would need more protection and positioned carefully. As a contrast it can be considered a weed in places like Queensland because of its prolific growth habit.
It grows prolifically here in Perth with no trouble at all.

Another shrub, as close to the colour Mulberry I could find, reddish purple.
The colour challenge became just that a challenge today, being Mother's Day here with family and excited Grandies coming over giving me presents and flowers.
Later trying to sort clothes read for packing for Glyn's flight this Tuesday, it's been a full day!
Although a really lovely day and I couldn't have wished for a nicer day.
