so we kiss hard on the lips
and swear that this year will be better than the last.
emo enough? well. that's what happens when you listen to throw-back albums from your high school days.
"thursday" and "taking back sunday" have been my musical choices thus far.
the lyrics are astounding.
"your lipstick, his collar, don't bother angel - i know exactly what goes on."
"is that what you call tact? you're a subtle as a brick on the small of my back."
okay, that's taking back sunday and they are pretty lame - lovable and lame. but thursday is good. i still like thursday.
"staring at the setting sun, no reason to go back again."
in high school when i was bored in class and not writing phenomenal love notes to dustin or jess or vince or sean or dustin again or jess again or sean again or...oh yeah, jess a third time, i was doodling in my notes. but i can't draw. i did master drawing a sun. so i would draw a sun, then in creative script quote thursday: "staring at the setting sun, no reason to go back again." repeat. over and over again.
i've not advanced in my doodling. in fact, i've probably digressed.
my musical taste has advanced though.
i am currently enjoying the happy sounds of "the cure."
"yesterday i got so old, i felt like i could die. yesterday i got so old, it made me want to cry...go on, go on just walk away. . ." okay that was more depressing than i intended - it's just what's playing.
round two:
"show me, show me, show me how you do that trick, the one that makes me scream she says, the one that makes me love she says. . ."
now that song does it for me.
