So close and yet so far

All our kids are scattered to the four corners of the globe: Tim on the Central Coast in New South Wales, Catherine in Brisbane, Ben in Barcelona, and Lan in London. On this mother's day, I am so struck by one of the great ironies of life in the 21st century: our kids can skype their mother and talk and see her in real time while being thousands of miles away. Absolutely mind boggling. 8-)
