Fledgling

Andrew has been living in his own flat, nearby in Kendal, for several years now.
Popping up for supper on Sundays, dropping in to the cafe for a word, helping out with firewood and IT problems.
Since he and Katie got engaged, Andrew has been looking for a job in York so they can be together and yesterday he handed back the keys to his flat and I drove him to the station.
It is not really very far away is it? But I do feel like someone is missing, especially when I make one of his favourite meals!
We will go and stay in the lovely new home, and then he will not seem to be so far away.
Gilly will be here next weekend for her bath, and to try on her new designer dress for the wedding, and all will be normal again!
