Bexwell, Norfolk
I had often noticed, too late to stop, a sign to the RAF Victoria Cross Memorial just off the A1122. Today I was ready, and turned off to visit it. The memorial is very simple and tells how two local men won their medals in 1943 and 1944. It stands on a beautifully kept grass area beside this lovely little church. The circular tower and flint walls are typical of churches in this part of the country. I was glad I took a few minutes to pause and ponder in this peaceful place.
