Grand Designs

Popped down to the Excel Centre to see the Grand Designs exhibition & saw this stunning Turkish-made lampshade. Lots to admire, quite a bit of ordinary stuff too, so not so much grand designs as grand selling opportunity in the largest home supermarket ever. Food is always a draw & we managed to get a small lunch from the freebies, cheese, olives, bread, wine, salami & coffee. Not bad! Also bumped into a sauce stall with two guys with the best accents, one Lancashire, one Yorkshire - oh how we miss the North. The constant rain is another reminder of what we've been missing. Some great ideas on the art/photo stalls. I'll have to try one, a huge poster with a compilation of images. Nice.
