Fancy a Dip?

With only a week till my first triathlon of the year it was time to dust the cobwebs off the wetsuit and get in the lake at Vobster Quay.

The plan just to get in, the result was 1.5 laps, so about 1,150meters, the water temp 12.8 degrees. The first 100meters or so was a slight face freeze situation but after that not too bad, a little choppy in places with the wind, but was pleased with my first effort.

In comparison I took my first dip last year in May and the water temp was 8 degrees so in comparison, it was tropical today.

Lovely to get back in the pond!
