Nostalgia

A trip to Ilkley to run in an urban orienteering event started in the dry but part way round the rain set in. We both enjoyed our runs across a bit of Ilkley Moor before running through the town. Two long legs really made you think about route choice.

I committed a cardinal sin forgetting to pack my camera so had to wait for a dog walk around familiar pastures. A muddy walk through the woods was underway when a rumble of thunder encouraged me to head for home. As the rain began to bounce off the pavement I took shelter at the station.

This is a new addition harking back to times when kiosks were on the platforms. I enjoyed looking at both the posters and a selection of wares that would have been sold.

Then I beat a hasty retreat for a nice hot bath!
