sun bright rain, wink-dimpled the river runs

Out for a walk today and got absolutely drookit. Sun then rain then sun then.... by the Clyde there was both at the same time.

Later on while I was taking another photo a woman passed me and stopped.
"Are you trying to be Arty?"
I told her what I was trying to capture and off she went smiling. She was just being pleasant but the phrase stuck with me, especially the 'trying' part. The story of my life really. Too much of the trying and not enough of the talent. Too much showiness and not enough diligence.
