About a blanket

Blue and red together is my favourite colour combination.
If I remember correctly, the blanket belonged to my late grandad's brother, who got it when he joined the army (in the 1940s?)
I nap underneath it, it's lovely. (It has been washed.)
I always forget to ask mum about the three red crosses in one corner. Years spent in service, maybe? Marks of boredom ...or something more sinister?

Yep. I'm on a four day weekend and spending it mostly at home, taking naps and having coffee afterwards. Glorious.
