New Couches

Amanda and I arrived home from Christmas in North Conway and twenty minutes later a friend called and said he has a couch for us that is leftover from one of his friends who quickly left the country for Brazil.

"It's a really nice couch he said!"
He wife in the background said, "Todd, you really want this couch."

Fifteen minutes later I was helping him unload a nice looking micro-fiber couch, ottoman, and chair. It matches perfectly with Amanda's new rug she bough last month.

There was one gotcha. I'm deathly allergic to cats and there was cat hair all over the thing. We've tried cleaning it, but it still seems to make me sick, so we might be having to give to another friend of a friend. First going to try vacuming with a new bag.

It's motivating, though, because I had to get rid of the old free couch I inherited from a friend when they moved to San Francisco. See a pattern? Anyway, we may still be ordering our new couches. But in the mean time, I was allowed to go purchase an XBox 360 because there was extra household budget due to free furniture.
