Blackheath Day
There always seems to be something on doesn't there?
Today was Blackheath Day. Not sure quite what that means, maybe the anniversary of its beginning or something.
Anyway there were various activities in the park including, apparently, face painting.
I was hoping to take more photos, but spent most of the morning running back and forth to the butchers to buy more sausages for the Rotary BBQ. They kept running out, which I assume means they had a successful fundraiser.
Trisharooni was lurking about with her camera, so hopefully we will see something from her as well.
PS. Thanks to Trisharooni I've discovered ‘Blackheath Day’ celebrates the naming of this area on May 15th, 1815 by Governor Lachlan Macquarie. To find out more, and see some great photos of the day, visit her Flickr site.
