prints...

these are some of the pictures that I printed some days ago...just mounted them on the album...this time the monochromes turned out better than the previous prints...the coloured, on the other hand were below par...there was one particular butterfly shot that I wanted to see how it would look but that colour lab completely messed up the colours on that...have to get it reprinted...maybe, I should try out some other lab as well, in addition to our regular one...

today there was another strike in the city today...though it didn't affect me personally as all the agitation and activity is happening at the other end of the city...but if what I read is really true, then a lot of people were affected due to canceled buses and trains, not to mention the loss of revenue that the government and other private travel companies had to bear...somewhere I had read a story of how strikes are done in Japan...once there was a shoe company in Japan whose workers put up certain demands to the management...in order to advocate their case, they decided to go on a strike...but being the efficient and innovative, as they have always been known as, the way they executed the strike was quite 'striking' in itself...during the period of strike, manufacturing didn't stop...rather, they started manufacturing only one shoe for only one foot of the pair...so the production didn't stop but still, it was of no market value...as soon as the management agreed to their demands, they went ahead and manufactured the other foot - thus hardly causing any loss to the company productivity!

tomorrow I've taken a day off...should do this more often :)
