Riverhead Driffield

This is the end of the canal linking Driffield to the Humber.

The arrival of the railway to the town soon saw the end of the canal era. However, two of the original cranes have been preserved which look as if they required a considerable amount of manpower to lift anything!

Some of the warehouses surrounding the area have been converted into trendy flats but sadly others have fallen into disrepair and are now for sale.
