Small bang

The electric standby and startup feedwaterpump was started on monday morning to start the unit.
At that moment a explosion was heard coming from the turbine hall.
The part with the collector and carbon brushes was burned...
So now the repair is going on because starting up the unit with the main steamturbine-driven pump is very complicated.
This is a 8000 KiloWatt electric motor so safety precautions (earthing and disconnecting from the grid) are very important.
The collector is located between the boosterpump and motor (the blue thing)
