Stoney Lane

'R' bought this painting of "Stoney Lane" in Thaxted at the Thaxted Parish Church Fair at the weekend. It is now up above the fire place in the sitting room - smoke/heat from the fire is not a problem as we never light the fire (central heating).

In the painting the building on the left is the Guildhall and the third building on the left, a timber-framed house, is Dick Turpin's Cottage. Thaxted Parish Church can be seen at the end of Stoney Lane.
