Beech Jewels
A day of dramatic shifts : sunshine to showers and great windy gusts. I set off through Cemetery Road with camera to get some food treats. So many beautiful things: areas are maintained ( alegedly, oh for spell check! )to maintain flora & fauna, so things are left to grow and seed before grass cutting starts. This year, I suspect in some dubious cost cutting interest, a dreadful machine has torn some areas to shreds. Last years swathe of Cowslips are destroyed.
The bright sunlight was catching the underside of this Beech, creating jewels of colour-------- maybe I'll learn how to catch scenes like this better, but tis a start.
Home for a snooze and a fruit cake baked and in the oven : very satisfying.
