Heron Haunted Pools

Quite close to my house are mud slobs when herons gather in splendid isolation alongside vast flocks of Brent Geese and other assorted sea birds. This Old Nog seemed put out by the arrival of another flight of geese landing as noisily as a busload of foreign students on holiday.

Early blip today as tonight I hope to do a walk called "From Darkness into Light" starting at 4:15am and finishing as the sun rises... Really looking forward to the night......just saying
