The Iron Bridge
I didn't really fancy a big walk today, as not only did I go to the gym yesterday, but also, I had a walk round the moor with a friend, and weeded the garden for a couple of hours. Weeding the rockery is hard work as wild heather infiltrates so easily and is very hard to get out if I don't keep on top of the job. I don't mind a bit of wild heather but it soon smothers the other plants if I don't keep an eye on it.
But when Ailie asked if I wanted to have a wander in Cragside I was happy to go as I thought I'd get great blips of the azaleas and rhododendrons. However only a few are out so I'll have to go back. In the meantime this is from outside the front of the house, looking down to the Debdon Burn which supplies the water for hydro-electricity, and the iron bridge, restored by the National Trust.
Now I'm going to cook and clean for our weekend visitors.
