Hanging Around

There's a lot of hanging around goes on in Cairo. These two taxi drivers are just along from the beauty salon I blipped yesterday, just off the main square in Dokki.

That's week 2 over now! 1-1 tutorials on Sunday with all the trainees and they change levels on Sunday and start teaching the new level that day. We got the first assignments in this morning and the second is due on Sunday. They all seemed to finish the week in a good place. We almost had a withdrawal yesterday, but he's back on board for the moment. He thought the course would be more about teaching students to write academic papers.....goodness knows where he got that from as the application and interview process is very clearly focused on teaching English as a foreign language! We'll see what happens. I'm glad it's the weekend, despite giving assignments to mark and tutorials to prep before Sunday! I've got the flat to myself this weekend as both my colleagues (who are my flatmates) are away.
