Another year older

Had a lovely birthday today which started with a lovely card and cake from my beautiful wife. Spent the morning going for a paddle to Little Bernera , known for its unspoilt but hard-to-reach beach it also has a ruined historic chapel and a disused graveyard.

It quickly became a favourite out-of-the-way picnic spot for the Royal Family when the Britannia took them on an annual Western Isles cruise. They were thought to have picnicked there at least four times. Beaches with royal approval and they certainly lived up to the hype.
Enjoyed an excellent walk with the pack this afternoon on another great beach then stopped off for a birthday dinner in an old school house called Loch Croistean - very tasty ( thoroughly recommend it )

An excellent day all round .
