'Devastation?'

After being away from home all day I discover that my lovely Maigold early Rose, has been torn away from the fence by the fierce Westerly winds we are experiencing at the moment' It looks like devastation...but this one bloom and the bud in the background prove that recovery is imminent!
We are told that after the glorious sunshine of the Bank Holiday weekend the country will be wet and miserable for at least a week. Well thanks for the warning.

My link is that today is VE Day...Victory in Europe (7th May in Commonwealth realms) 1945. The end of the war was announced , from then on work started on the restoration of our country and other places in the world......and I never cease to be amazed at the thought of that daunting challenge!

My blipper friend JMK has been posting some photos on here of the restoration work going on in Christchurch, New Zealand after the devastation of the earthquake in 2011. A long job but great progress is being made...............

As for my Yellow dancing girls, they will be attached once again to the trellis, have a short back and sides....and will recover!
