Wedged

This muppet (about 20yrs old) thought it would be clever and ok to drive a 4wd this morning. We were surprised to hear a vehicle going up the lane, so looked out and saw the vehicle sliding sideways back down, until it got stuck between the wall and the rockery across the road. Dad had a bit of a go at him for even thinking about driving and then we (I got dressed and went to help) put grit down, in an attempt to give him enough grip to reverse (onto) the wall, knocking a a bit of it down in the process. We could barely stand up ourselves and just prayed another car didn't try and come down the hill or there could have been a big mess. It was just a sheet of ice and it rendered me house-bound for the rest of the day.

So I peeled the veg for tomorrow, amongst other things.
