Sisters
Our four Blackbird chicks are doing really well and growing fast. It is about 12 days since the first chick hatched, so this weekend might see them flying the nest.
As you can see in this shot their feathers are developing well. They are starting to flex their wings and move about the nest.
Mr & Mrs B must be exhausted gathering food and keeping the hungry chicks satisfied.
Tonight is the first night mum has not been on the nest, so the chicks are getting the experience of being on their own. They seem very relaxed.
I am busy tomorrow with our concert at The Mackintosh Church, but I will keep you posted on the Blackbird activity over the weekend.
