The wooden monk

Conservation work again today in the pouring rain. Six of us braved the elements! We were lining a woodland path with logs and infilling with wood chippings.
There used to be an abbey on the site and some clever person has carved this figure from a tree trunk to oversee the proceedings.
The theatre trip last night was fantastic. We went to an empty Italian restaurant near the theatre for a drink afterwards and Vincent came in for a meal with a fellow dancer. He was on his phone most of the time he was eating. On the way out we told him how good the show was and he showed his usual modesty!
