I went to my first beginner lesson at the Meadows Croquet Club this evening. Too shy to take a photo. I was paired up with the very charming Jan. (I suspect she's as much of a croquet hustler as I am.)

"The unsung hero of the mechanisation of raspberry harvesting" was the stand out phrase of the evening.
