On Balance

A bit of blipper's block lately - I've been taking photos but just haven't felt that any of them are up to much. But during my lunch break today I visited On Balance, a Brighton Festival installation at Fabrica - a converted church in the city centre which, among other things, has lovely light. More than 700 bathroom scales are set into the floor while at one end of the church there's a dense mass of hanging ribbons to walk through. The artist Jacob Dahlgren wanted to emphasise the sensuality of everyday objects - what caught my attention was the reflection and the colour.
