Brick wall

I have loved teaching this novel to Y11s and they were really up to the challenge last Summer when we read it. Now we are revising it and it's like we are doing it for the first time! Today's bashing my head against a brick wall question was 'what is a dystopia?' followed by: 'I don't think anyone knows what it is.' Luckily the rest of the class quickly refuted this statement but it does feel like they like to talk about revising rather than actually doing it. I'm hoping for a less frustrating lesson tomorrow, particularly as task one will be: how many lessons do we actually have before the exam ...
