Wallowing

I had to work all day which I don't normally do on a Wednesday. This, combined with working extra hours yesterday and being observed by my head teacher this afternoon, meant I did a bit of wallowing of my own.

Having worked at a school where criticism and scorn ruled, I hate and detest observations. I still fear them to the point where I don't sleep the night before and am consumed with anxiety for the whole of the day of the observation.

But.....it was fine. It was more than fine, it was GREAT! My Head stayed for longer than he needed to because he said he was enjoying the lesson so much. The children behaved themselves and came up with some articulate and insightful answers. Woo hoo!!

I need wine! :)
