The only trouble with the Croix de Fer is that I had previously cannibalised it - stolen the mudguards and rack - for other bikes, leaving it sleek and light but a bit bare for commuting. So it was rucksack and plenty of spray of the road this morning. But I'd forgotten what a nice bike it is. Where the Trucker is like a pair of old walking boots, this is like dress shoes. And similarly uncomfortable.

Diverted through the estate until the end of August so expect to be seeing more of this place.
